The whole shoe is wrapped in a striking metallic silver finish with reflective piping running through those signature wavy panels, giving it that unmistakable futuristic, almost alien look. Designer Christian Tresser drew the design from ripples spreading across water and the metal-on-metal look of mountain bike components — that's where the mechanical, chrome feel comes from. Sharp black and red accents cut through the silver for contrast and that classic pop, and the reflective lines light up hard under any light.
Underneath is history: the 97 was the first shoe ever to feature full-length visible Air, running the bubble the entire length of the sole — a landmark in sneaker tech that still rides great today.
